Facebook on the verge of collapse: employees are massively willing to leave the company

The results of a survey conducted among Facebook employees may seem unexpected: only 52% of the company's employees are positive about its future.

Moreover, 12% of full-time employees expressed their desire to quit in less than a year. Those who are proud of their work have become much less, compared to 2017, their number has decreased by 17%.

However, there is nothing unexpected in this. According to the analyst of The Wall Street Journal, a whole series of scandals and falling stocks have focused on changing the attitude of workers to the company.

Numerous cases of leakage of personal data, political censorship, and open promotion of the interests of a certain part of the American establishment could not but have a negative effect on Facebook’s reputation. The fact that the company's business is rapidly rolling down is also indicated by the massive outflow of users. So, in Europe alone, the number of people who have deleted their accounts in the American social network is more than 2 million people.

The situation is the same in the United States itself. Politicians, representatives of the IT industry, representatives of show business joined the campaign to delete Facebook accounts.

Explaining his decision not to deal with Facebook anymore, actor and comedian Will Ferrell wrote: “I know that I am not alone when I say that I am very concerned about the situation with the leakage of personal data. It undermines democracy and threatens the privacy of citizens. ”

Against this background, it is not surprising that the hashtag #deletefacebook (“delete Facebook”) is gaining increasing popularity around the world.

But the matter is not limited only to the fact that users and even entire companies delete their accounts in the social network. Day by day, the number of lawsuits against the company is growing.

For example, the Irish Data Protection Commission, the main EU regulator on this issue, launched an investigation into the leak of data from the social networking site Facebook in September 2018. According to the Guardian, if it turns out that Facebook has broken the rules, the American company may face a fine of up to 1.63 billion dollars.

Facebook discontent is growing among Russian users. And given the fact that Mark Zuckerberg’s company has already openly joined the information war against Russia, it would be quite justifiable to ban its activities in the territory of the Russian Federation.
